      School Items
Your child will need a clear plastic or mesh backpack and a daily snack in a bag or luchbox (no metal lunchboxes please!). Please be sure to label all of your child's belongings with their name.  I have provided the students with all of the supplies necessary to complete their daily classroom activities. A red communication folder will be provided for your child. Please check it every night for homework that needs to be completed, papers that need to be signed, as well as completed projects and papers that may be kept at home.
If your child will be riding the bus every day, please make sure that the color coded bus card (provided by the school) is visible in the front pocket of their backpack. If your child will be getting picked up from school please send a note to the teacher for that day. Please understand that we can not accept phone calls and will need a written note to release your child as a Parent Pick-up if they usually ride the bus. If I do not have a note I have to put them on the bus. This is for the safety of your child, thank you for your understanding.
    Dress Code
     Dress Code
The Hazleton Area School District enforces a dress code policy for all students. Please make sure that your child's clothing follows the guidelines by clicking this link:

On gym days students may wear a crewneck sweatshirt with a collared shirt underneath and sweatpants. Please make sure that your child wears sneakers on gym day.
     Healthy Snack

Our class usually eats snack in the afternoon before leaving for the day. Parents are responsible for providing their child with a daily healthy snack. Some ideas for healthy snack options include fresh fruit, pretzels, fruit snacks, cheese and crackers, yogurt, etc. as well as a drink such as water or fruit juice. Please pack an ice pack with your child’s snack if it needs to stay cold (i.e. yogurt, cheese, etc.) as a refrigerator will not be available for storage.

    Health Information

Please inform your child’s teacher and the school nurse of any allergies or other health issues that your child may have.  Any medications must be sent to the school nurse and she will dispense them.
