    *******Chorus rehearsals will begin Monday, 10/4/21, in the Music room, Room 204. The schedule for rehearsals will be 2:50PM-3:20PM for Middle School and 3:20PM-4:00PM for Elementary. Only students with completed registrations forms will be able to participate in rehearsals. I ask that whomever is picking up the Chorus member from rehearsal be prompt in pick-up following rehearsal. Thank you for your cooperation in this regard! 🙂

    Welcome everyone to DEMS Chorus 2021-2022.   For those who were previously in Chorus, please make sure you register again for this school year. Please listen for the announcement as to when registration will begin.  For those of you who have participated in Chorus in the past, I hope to see you again this year!  Please encourage your classmates to join as well.  For those of you in 4th Grade this year, please consider joining DEMS Chorus.  We will once again be performing 2 live concerts with the DEMS Band this year as long as the District allows, as well as singing the National Anthem for an upcoming WBS Penguins game which is always an amazing experience!

                Drums Elementary Middle School is proud to offer students Grades 4 through 8 the opportunity to participate in Chorus.  This is considered an extra-curricular activity and rehearsals will be held Mondays according to the following schedule:

     

    Middle School                                                 2:50PM to 3:20PM

    Elementary Grades 4, 5, and 6                        3:20PM to 4:00PM

     

    Chorus rehearsals will begin October 4, 2021.  Please make sure your child is picked up ON TIME from rehearsal. 

     

    If you child wishes to participate in this very exciting and fulfilling activity, please complete the bottom of this sheet and return it to Miss Katsock in Room 204.

    PENGUINS GAME/WINTER CONCERT

     

    Dear Parent/Guardian:

     

                Just an update on some upcoming, exciting events for DEMS Chorus!

    • The chorus/band Winter Concert will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the school at 6:30PM. I ask that your child arrive at the school that evening no later than 6:15PM.  Dress for this concert is white top, black bottom and black shoes.
    • The chorus has been invited to perform The National Anthem at a Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins game on November 13, 2021 at 6:05PM. More details will follow as to the time and place we will all meet on that date.  At this time, the Penguins’ organization needs a very rough estimate of how many will be in attendance.  Please indicate below if your child will be participating, how many seats total you project you will need at this time, and if you wish to add-on the prepaid cost for a food voucher. You can change the amount of tickets/vouchers you need up to 14 days prior to the event.  I will again reach out as we near the event to confirm tickets/vouchers.  The Penguins’ organization will donate $4.00 of each ticket back to the school as a fundraiser for the chorus.  Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event, as has always been the custom.  Dress for this event will be white top and black bottoms. Comfortable shoes with rubber bottoms should be worn.  They do not need to be black, however, black is preferred.
