    Dear Parent/ Guardian;
            If your child is interested in becoming a health care provider the Hazleton Area Career Center offers two programs that will help prepare your child for that career.
            The Health Assistant Program is designed for those students who are interested in the field of Nursing. These students are trained in nursing assistant skills, complete a clinical rotation in assisted living and skilled nursing home.  Once the student has fullfilled all of the necessary course requirements the Nurse Aide student is eligible to take the Pa. Nurse Aide Registry Examination.
             The Health Career Program was developed for the academic student who has an interest in healthcare, but has not decided upon a specific health related profession.  The students are given the opportunity to complete a clinical rotation in a local hospital, which allows the student to rotate through various hospital departments.  This course will allow the student to make an educated decision when choosing a health care profession, which is best suited for the student. The Health Career Program also offers the student the opportunity to complete the Passassured's Pharmacy Technician Training Program.  Succesful completion of the course and criteria allows the student to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
