Darren Seiwell finished in a tie for fourth place in the boys’ Class 3A pole vault and Sophia Shults came in eighth in the girls’ Class 3A triple jump at the PIAA Championships at Shippensburg University’s Seth Grove Stadium. Both earned a place on the state medal stand for the first time and the opportunity to have their names stitched on a banner that will hang a wall inside Hughie McGeehan Gymnasium for all time.
