The most asked question you get as a kid is "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Eshita Kaur writes before reveling her career choice.
To answer the question about their careers, Eshita and her fifth grade classmates at Freeland Elementary/Middle School listened to guest speakers talk about their jobs, researched careers and made posters about their choices. They staged a career fair for their parents and then wrote essays about jobs they want, which have been published into hardcover books.
Cathy Colangelo, executive director of Greater Hazleton Partners in Education, distributed the books, which her organization paid to publish, during a pizza party on May 8 for the students and their teachers, Sara Higgs and Michael Fox.
