This is a reminder that beginning January 1 through March 31, The GIANT Company invites customers to join in supporting Feeding School Kids by rounding up at the register. The GIANT Company will directly support customers’ generosity by matching all donations up to $100,000. Our school district will again be included as a beneficiary of this campaign with the goal of enhancing our school’s efforts to eliminate childhood hunger.

We are extremely proud of our Hazleton Area FBLA for their outstanding performance at the Regional Competition!
This year marks their largest number of students—over 100—qualifying for the FBLA State Leadership Conference in more than a decade, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them advance to states this April.
Our students competed with excellence across a wide range of career-related events, including Information Technology, Visual Design, Business Management, Accounting, and Public Speaking, showcasing both their skill and dedication.

The HASD would like to invite and honor senior citizens in and around the area by providing a free breakfast! Sunday December 7th, 8am - 11am at Maple Manor Elementary Middle School. $6 for anyone under the age of 60, 12 and under is free.

The class of 2025-2026 yearbook is now available for pre-order. Yearbooks can be ordered at Lifetouch.com. The cost of the yearbook is $65. To order a yearbook, use the code 14294226. Save your favorite memories, order a yearbook today!

Tomorrow evening, the annual Powder Puff football game will take place at the Maple Manor field. The CouGALS will take on the Purple Panthers. The gates for the event will open at 5:30 PM with the game starting a 6:00. Tickets for the event are $5 with a concession stand full of delicious hot and cold foods. All proceeds from the event will go to the class of 2026 yearbook. While the Maple Manor field has bleachers, spectators may also bring their own outdoor chairs to sit around the field. CouGALS, Purple Panthers, tomorrow night in the Powder Puff game!

It's that time of year again. We are now accepting senior pictures for this year's upcoming yearbook. Pictures can be submitted via email to Mr. Ringleben at ringlebenj@hasdk12.org. please make sure you receive a confirmation email to know that your picture was submitted properly. The deadline to submit senior pictures is March 1, 2026.

Tomorrow, we continue picture day at the Hazleton Area High School. Forms were handed out to students and any student who would like to purchase a school picture may continue to do so tomorrow. Picture day for the Hazleton Area Career Center is on September 24, The Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences is on September 25, The Hazleton Area Arts and Humanities Academy is on September 26, and The Hazleton Area Cyber Academy is on September 29. Furthermore, Picture make up days will be on September 30 for the High School and Career Center, while make-up day for the Academy of Science and Arts and Humanities will be on October 1. Be sure to dress your best and bring your biggest smile.
