    2025-2026 AP United States History Summer Assignments

    APUSH EXAM INFORMATION

    The summer assignments have been pragmatically chosen because they are an exact sample of what students will encounter on the global exam in May 2026.

    Summer assignments are graded on completion and effort. Meet the stated criteria for each of the four assignments and full credit will be awarded. If the exam format is not to your liking and ability, especially reading comprehension and writing skills, you may want to reconsider taking the course.

    All summer assignments must be emailed to horlachers@hasdk12.org by 11:59PM on the due date for full credit.

    Each email must be titled as follows: "Summer Assignment # – Your Name"

     

    Summer Assignment 1:                 Answer all 55 multiple choice questions. Due by Sunday, July 27.

                                                                                    -Create 2 vertical columns in Word, number to 55, and provide the capital letter of each answer                                                                                                                 choice.

     

    Summer Assignment 2:                 Answer all 4 short answer questions. Due by Sunday, August 3.

                                                                                    -Use a new page for each question. Each response must be one page or less, double                                                                                      spaced, 1” margins, Times New Roman font.

     

    Summer Assignment 3:                 Answer long essay question number 2. Due by Sunday, August 10.

                                                                                    -Response must be at least two pages in length, double spaced, 1” margins, Times New                                                                                      Roman font.

     

    Summer Assignment 4:                 Answer the document-based question. Due by Sunday, August 17.

                                                                                    -Response must be at least three pages in length, double spaced, 1” margins, Times                                                                                                 New Roman font.
