The Physics 1 Classroom
Physics 1 is designed to be a college preparatory class where we explore topics in Newtonian Physics - forces, motion, conservation, work and energy... Basically, we will cover most topics that are in a freshman college level Physics 1 class. We will do many problems that will require basic trigonometry and advanced algebra. What you need to be successful in this class: a pencil, a binder (for the various handouts), a calculator, and an open mind.
We behave in a professional manner - in our personal presentation, in our work and in our attitude. We arrive for class each day organized and prepared. Much of our classwork will require students to work in small groups for problem solving and project work.
We begin each class with our Physics Word O' The Day and STEP (Standardized TEst Preparation) problem, these go into our Notebooks, every day but test day.The Physics 2 Classroom
Physics 2 is designed to be a college preparatory class where we continue to explore topics in Newtonian Physics - forces, motion, conservation, work and energy, in a rotational sense, and then move into the basics of light and sound. Basically, we will cover most topics that are in a freshman college level Physics 2 class. We will do many problems that will require basic trigonometry and advanced algebra.
