    My name is Mrs. Ciampi, and I will be one of your child's teachers this year at Drums Elementary Middle School. I have been a reading and language arts teacher in the Hazleton Area School District for the past fourteen years, and I am excited to be joining Mrs. Wetterau and Mrs. Mallets on the fourth grade team. We look forward to creating an enjoyable year for your child filled with growth, confidence, and memories.
     
    My passion is teaching children the love of reading beyond the textbook. In this year's reading class, we will explore a variety of genres and texts, including real life events, creative poetry, biographies of their favorite role models, and fictional novels.
     
    We will also be utilizing Microsoft Teams throughout the school year. You can find our class's weekly agendas, notes, announcements, and more on your child's "General Channel". (For more information on how to use Microsoft Teams, please click on the Microsoft Teams tab on the left side of the page.)
