                                        Ecology Club

                                        The goals of the Ecology Club are
                            
                               To gain an understanding of our environment and our place in it
     
                               To be physically active and involved with nature
     
                               To improve the natural environment
     
                               To help protect and preserve wildlife
     
                               To develop and enhance our mental and physical skills
     
                               To lessen our negative impact on the environment
     
                               To teach others about what we have learned
     
                               To provide a service to our community
     
     
    During the 2024-2025 school year, The HEMS Ecology Club will continue taking part in the Trout in The Classroom program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. This year, members of the Ecology Club will observe and care for rainbow trout. The club will receive Rainbow Trout eggs in January and care for the fish until they are released into a local trout stream. Updates and photos will follow.
