    S.T.O.P. Binder
     
     
    Your child will use a S.T.O.P Binder to take home and return to school Monday- Friday. It stays at school over the weekend unless requested by parents.
     
    The binder has several sections.
     
    Behavior/Homework
    Your child will write his/ her homework on this page.
    On the traffic light I will color the light that indicates your childs' behavior for the day according to our warning cones.
    If needed, I will write a brief description of your childs' behavior.
    You are always welcome to email alfeiria@hasdk12.org or call me at the school if you have any questions and/or concerns.
    Please sign daily.
     
    News
    This section will have important papers handed out by the teacher and/or the school.
    Some papers may need to be signed and returned. 
    Some papers you may take to hang in your home for reference.
     
    Reading
    This section has a calendar for you and your child to record his/her Reading Log. 
    Read to and with your child every day!
    The more your child is exposed to language, the easier it will be for him/ her to incorporate new skills into reading and writing in the classroom.
    Spelling
    When your child has spelling homework it can be found in this section.
    Please use this section to review and study daily.
     
    Vocabulary
    This section has the vocabulary words for each theme we are working on.
    Use this section to have your child read the sentences to you. Discus the meaning and sentences of each word.
     
    Math
    This section will have any math homework.   It also has study guides you can use to review math facts.
     
     I have provided a S.T.O.P. Binder for each student.  It is your childs responsibility to keep it in good condition and return it to school each day.
     
    If you leave our school, please return the binder to the office.
