• Students with IEPs are tested using the following in order to determine areas of need:
     
    Jerry Johns Basic Reading Inventory (Tenth Edition)-  
    This assessment provides instructional levels in word reading and reading comprehension.
     
    Group Mathematics Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluation
    This math assessment is given based on the student's grade level and contains three sections - Concepts and Communications, Operations and Computations, and Process and Applications. Each section tests various skills, from basic addition and subtraction to multi-step word problems. The results of this assessment provides the educator with an idea of the student's weaknesses in mathematics skills and identifies all areas of need.
     
    State and Local Testing
    Students with IEPs are provided with atadaptations for any state (PSSA) and local tests
     
    Reading Instruction 

    SRA Correct Reading Decoding and Comprehension 

    Corrective Reading provides intensive direct instruction-based reading intervention for students who are reading below grade level. This Direct Instruction reading intervention program delivers tightly sequenced, carefully planned lessons that give struggling students the structure and practice necessary to become skilled, fluent readers and better learners.
