My name is Miss Higgs. I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also graduated from Scranton University with a Masters Degree in Administration. While I was attending Bloomsburg University I worked as preschool teacher in Mountain Top. I substituted in the Hazleton Area School District for 3 years prior to being hired. Upon becoming hired I became part of a great team at McAdoo-Kelayres Elementary Middle School where I taught for the first 11 years of my career. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade science and social studies, and 6th grade science and social studies. I have been teaching ELA at Freeland for 4 years.
