Welcome to 5^th Grade ELA

Hello new 5th Graders!!!  Welcome to 5th Grade Language Arts at Freeland Elementary/Middle School!  I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I know it will be a really great year, and a very interesting year! I can't wait to help you explore through Reading & Handwriting! 

Some items you will need for my class are:

• 1- 3 subject notebook, or 3 one subject notebooks
• Pencils for the year
• Crayons or colored pencils
• Folder

Any additional supplies for the classroom would be greatly appreciated. (tissues, hand sanitizer etc.)

*Please keep in mind students cannot enter the building with scissors.

We will also be doing 3 guided reading projects. If you would like to purchase the books on your own you are more than welcome to. The books will be:

>Holes

>Bud, Not Buddy

>Freak the Mighty

You do NOT have to purchase the books, this is only if you would like to. I have a class set to share.
