• Stuttering

The student has dysfluent speech such as
    • Repetitions of sounds or syllables ("li-li-like this")
    • Prolongations("lllllike this")
    • Blocks (" l---ike this")
    • There may be secondary behaviors that accompany the stuttering (eye blinking, finger tapping, hand wringing or awkward mouth posture)
    • Stuttering has a tendency to vary in terms of frequency. If a student is stuttering in a variety of settings within the school day- an evaluation should be conducted by the SLP.
