Teacher Message: Good Evening Everyone! We made it to the last week of the school year! I really do miss all of you! It has been a very interesting year. I am sure that you will remember it for the rest of your lives. I see that many of you have been working dilegently on your Edgenuity assignments and some have even finished! Great job! However, some of you have a lot of work to do.... Let's go! If you are having any problems, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please make sure you have the assignments completed by Friday, June 5th. This week we will focus on Society and Industry. I realize there is another topic listed, A Changing World but it doesn't need to be completed. It was added to the course in case the school year was extended. You won't see 100% completion if you don't do it, but that is ok! Have a great summer!

- Explain why the Industrial Revolution caused cities to grow bigger and changed how people lived and worked.
- Describe how the Industrial Revolution led to new ideas about politics, society, and the economy.
- Identify how artists, writers, and composers reflected the changes that industrialism brought to society.
- Explain how the scientific discoveries during the Industrial Revolution changed the way people lived and how they understood the world.

Standard – 8.4.7.A – Summarize the social, political, cultural, and economic contributions of individuals and groups in world history.
Standard – 8.4.7.B – Explain the importance of historical documents, artifacts, and sites which are critical to world history.
Standard – 8.4.7.C – Differentiate how continuity and change have impacted world history.0
Standard – 8.4.7.D – Explain how conflict and cooperation among groups and organizations have impacted the history of the world.
