My name is Mrs. Karmonick (formerly Miss Litostansky). I attended WestChester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading. I am currently working to obtain my master's degree through King's College. During my time in West Chester I also worked at The Goddard School with children ranging from infancy to school-age. Prior to becoming a 2nd grade teacher at WHEMS , I worked as a substitute in the Hazleton Area School District for 2+ years, and then taught kindergarten for 6 years. I really enjoy working with the students in this grade level. I am thrilled to be a member of the amazing faculty and staff in this district. Teaching is my passion, and I am excited and enthusiastic about this upcoming school-year and working with you and your students.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes our son, and 2 dogs, and my friends. I love spending time outdoors. My favorite places to go are camping and the beach. My favorite colors are blue and pink. I also love dolphins, and hibiscus flowers. I really enjoy finding new and exciting ideas and items for our classroom.
