• Hello and welcome to seventh and eighth grade ELA!  My name is Mrs. Dugan.  Reading and English Language Arts focus on the the areas of communication:  reading, writing, listening, thinking, and speaking.  Within these areas, proper grammar is essential to becoming precise speakers and writers. 

    As we progress through the year, we will apply what we have learned  and stories we have read through TDAs(text dependent analysis), and assessments.  

    I will try to differentiate instruction as much as possible to meet the needs of all students.  Hopefully, this will create an exciting, productive, and challenging classroom environment.

     This is a new learning experience for all of us, and we will get through this together.  Let's all work together to make this a productive school year.
