• Dear Parents and Guardians,

     

    It is my belief that a child can be most successful in a classroom that is structured, predictable, and safe.  To accomplish this, I will be using Class Dojo to monitor positive and negative classroom behavior. I will also utilize a  Desk Pet Class Reward I have decided to utilize this year. Desk pets are going to be an ongoing incentive for positive behavior this year.

     Your knowledge and support of this plan is extremely important, as well. Please discuss these rules and consequences with your child and let them know that you support his/her classroom. Please feel free to address me with any questions or concerns!

    Here’s how it works:

     

    Each student’s name will be placed on a clip that will attach to chart.

    All students’ clips will start each day on “Ready to Learn”.

    A student’s clip will be moved up or down the behavior chart depending on the behavior choices being made.

    Students will have the opportunity to move their clip back up the chart by making good behavior choices.

     

    (Ex: Johnny moves clip from “Ready to Learn” to “Oopsie" for talking at an inappropriate time. If Johnny shows an effort in following this rule, he will be allowed to move his clip back up the chart. However, if negative behavior continues, he will move his clip down the chart instead.)

     

    Severe disruptions will be documented and sent straight to the office.

     

    Disrespectful behavior, disruptive emotional outbursts, and bullying will result in an immediate principal visit and letter home.

     

    Your cooperation with this makes a huge difference in the classroom!
