    • Is anything in this book strange or weird? Why do you think the author put that in the story?
    • If the author of this book were in our classroom right now, what would you say or ask that person?
    • What was your favorite part of this story? Why is it your favorite?
    • Compare one of the characters to yourself, your family, or one of your friends.
    • What was going through your mind as you read the story?
    • What surprised you in this story? Why was it a surprise? What did you except instead?
    • Does the title fit in the story? Why or why not?
    • Would you read another book by this author? Why or why not?
    • What was the author trying to tell you about life in this story?
    • Choose one of the characters in the book who is important, but is not the main character. Describe this person, explain why they are important to the main character,, and tell why they make the story interesting to read?
    • How did the story make you feel? Tell what parts of the story made you feel that way.
