• MIDDLE SCHOOL TRYOUTS
These tryouts will be held all together this season.  This is how it was done years ago and worked extremely well.  This way your team is picked and you can start practices whenever you would like.  We will also be hosting a middle school camp in September.   With teams picked, it makes it much easier.  This also unites the program as one whole.

    TRYOUT WEEK - July 31st - August 3rd
    July 31, August 1, August 2 - Learn Material / Open Gym - 4:30pm - 6:30pm @ELC
August 3rd - TRYOUTS - Each school will be given a time slot - starting at 4:00pm @ ELC
August 4th - Coaches announce teams

All tryout material will be taught by Varsity Cheerleaders.  The High school coaches will judge along with each team's coach.
For example - Valley Tryout - judges are High school coaches plus Laura Gavio

Each middle school coach will be responsible for preparing and handing out proper paperwork and packets for each school to interested athletes.  You should provide physical info as well. Physicals MUST be dated June 1, 2023 or after.  Every athlete must have a completed PIAA physical by the actual tryout August 3rd to tryout.  They can attend open gyms without one, but not the tryout.
There will be Free Physicals July 18th that they can sign up for.  Information on these free physicals was emailed previously.

Middle School Coaches are encouraged to attend the entire tryout week, but if you cannot due to vacations/work, that is fine.  It is still your responsibility to organize the paperwork for your teams.  We will provide numbers for the candidates and scoresheets.  They will be judged on a cheer, dance, jumps, and tumbling.  We can do some basic stunting during the tryout week to be looked at, but not scored.  We will go over the tryout process on day 1 of tryout week.  We will follow the same process we used for high school tryouts.

    ATHLETES ON VACATION
If you have interested athletes on vacation during tryout week, you can offer a virtual option where we can send them the material and they will send a video back.  You can also offer a tryout on your own for those individuals when they return from their vacation.

The tryout announcement will be posted on social media.  I encourage you to send it to whoever runs the facebook page for your schools as well as someone who can post it on Class Dojo.  I will be sending it to the athletic office as well.

I'm attaching the flyer that will be posted.  I will post tomorrow, just in case anyone has any questions so I can address them before hand.  Thank you for your cooperation in this process and I'm excited to meet all your potential athletes.
