ATHLETIC ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATTENTION HASD WINTER SPORT ATHLETES 2024-2025

Any HASD student currently in grade 7 through 12 and interested in participating on one of our WINTER sports teams, is required to get a physical examination and complete the PIAA CIPPE form prior to the official start date (Friday, November 15, 2024. The HASD/PIAA required physical (Section 6) and PIAA CIPPE form (Section 1 through 6) completion must be performed online in a 2 Step process as outlined below. LVHN (Lehigh Valley Health Network) is assisting us in completing this process. They are also offering a FREE sports physical clinic at the High School Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Each team has been assigned a time slot and we ask that all athletes sign up under the correct team time slot. Click on the below link to do this.

Time will be separated by sport. Please sign up for the time slot corresponding to your sport on the Sign-up Genius Link below.

4:30pm: Boys Basketball

5:30pm: Girls Basketball, Bowling

6:30pm: Wrestling, Swimming

7:30pm: Unified Bocce Ball, Open to All Teams

8:00pm: Overflow (only use if all slots for your sport are taken)

Student athletes who show up without signing up for an appointment time will not be permitted to receive a physical. If student athletes played a fall sport for the Hazleton Area School District, it is not necessary to attend a winter sport free physical session since only 1 sports physical is mandated per school year.

STEP 1. Physical Exam Registration

LVHN/HASD FREE PIAA WINTER SPORTS PHYSICAL

This winter sports free physical will be offered on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the high school gymnasium from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM as mentioned above.

You can also get your sports physical at your own private physician if desired.
