HAHS COUGAR CHORUS
Consists of students from each of the Hazleton Area School District 9-12 Buildings! These students perform in 911 Remembrance Events, Homecoming Bon Fire, regular evening concerts, Veteran's Day, Caroling through the halls, Music in Our Schools Month Concerts, Nursing home performances, hospital and wellness center performances, Holiday Celebrations as well as Relay for Life and HASD Graduation.
Outside of its regular duties, Chorus students participate in Chorus Festivals : Luzerne County Chorus, PMEA District Chorus, Region Chorus, All-State Chorus, All-Eastern Chorus.
Mrs. Sharonoff has brought HAHS students to sing at the Capitol in Washington DC, and the Pentagon, Epcot and Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, in front of the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville, TN, on the field at Fennway Park, Boston MA and Universal Studio Music Plaza Stage in Orlando FL.

Freshman/Sophomore Chorus
These classes are a part of the Concert Choir. They meet, sing and rehearse with the Concert Choir currently during period 1-2. The difference is that the Freshman/Sophomore students also take gym during this period, which allows them to be in chorus all year.
Concert Choir
Concert Choir is designed for all high school students who are interested in performing choral music. All members of the Concert Choir will study correct vocal production and strive to improve their musicianship. The Concert Choir performs many styles of choral music at various school and public performances. Participation in this ensemble will allow eligibility for District, Regional, and All-State choral competitions and festivals.
HAHS COUGAR CRESCENDOS consists of 8-10 students who perform contemporary a cappella music for various school and community events. These students rehearse on stage at the high school every Thursday from 2:45-3:45 from September through May. This ensemble is designed to expose students to the contemporary a cappella choir style of ensemble singing, enjoy the camaraderie and challenges of singing in an unaccompanied group. Finally, it prepares students who would like to audition for the PMEA a cappella ensemble.
