You willl view the powerpoint below.You can view it as often as you need. Then you will complete the assignments that are listed.These are for Monday and Tuesday. You can take as much time as you need. Complete all assignments at your convienence. Have fun and be creative. If you do not understand someting... no worries. Reach out at any point .The directions for each assignment are there when you click on it.You can either print them, complete them in your notebook, or do online.
Learning Objectives for the week:
Week 5 Students will determine which type of figurative language is being used.
Students will investigate what important events ocurred in history on the day they were born.
Students will be encouraged to create a biography project over the summer if they wish to. Not a requirement.
Standards Addressed: Week 5:
Eligible Content - E04.B-V.4.1.2 Demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings. a. Explain the meaning of similes and metaphors in context. b. Recognize and explain the meaning of common idioms, adages, and proverbs. c. Demonstrate understanding of words by relating them to their antonyms and synonyms.

Assignment #4 A good summer activity would be to choose a person in history you are excited to learn more about. Then create one of the projects on the link.
