    capsid-  Protein coat in which the virus is enclosed in

    lysogenic- dormant stage of a virus in a host cell, causing no

    change in the host cell.

    lytic- stage in which a dormant virus is stimulated an

    infects the host cell

    bacteriophage- virus that attacks a bacteria cell

    transduction- condition in which a virus can incorporate

    some genetic material from the host and transfer that

    gentic material to a new host.
