School-Based Self-Care
Practicing self-care skills is very important for a child to become independent. Some of the self-care skills we work on in school inlcude feeding with utensils, toileting, hygiene (handwashing), putting on and taking off a coat, and being able to complete fasteners (buttons, snaps, zipper).
Below I am posting resources that provide ideas and activities for learning and practicing self-help skills.
