    International Saxophone Symposium

The 42nd International Saxophone Symposium will take place Jan. 10-11, 2020, at the George Mason University Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfax, Virginia, and we're looking for talented high school students to perform!

The High School Honors Recital, unique to the Saxophone Symposium, provides high school saxophonists the rare opportunity to be featured at the conference. Applications can be found here. The deadline for audition recordings and applications is Monday, Nov. 4.

The International Saxophone Symposium draws an audience of more than 1,500 every year, featuring a mix of recitals, lectures, masterclasses and featured Navy Band concerts over the course of two days. Each year some of the most renowned saxophonists in the world perform with the Navy Band, and this year's soloists are Asya Fateyeva, Otis Murphy, Bob Mintzer, and the Navy Band Saxophone Quartet. In addition to performing, these guest artists will present masterclasses on Saturday, Jan. 11. The entire event is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.
