Hi Everyone!

I know this break may be hard on some of you so I hope everyone is handling it ok. Starting Monday we are hoping to try and get you back into “school” mode so you’re prepared when we finally get back. A few things I want to mention first:

• I will NOT be taking any type of attendance or grading anything you do (or don’t) complete. This work is purely review. That being said, it is also not mandatory. I completely understand that there is probably little ambition to complete work that will not be graded, and I get it, but I want you guys to realize coming back to school after 3 or 4 or even 5 weeks without doing anything is going to put you in a bad spot. If you complete something hopefully it won’t be like starting from scratch.
• Your grades for the third quarter are as they stand. I have graded everything you guys have done up until this point. If your grade was lower than a 60 you will notice I have given you a 60 so that you have a chance to pass with your 4^th quarter grade. I know several of you had a lot of work to make up so I am leaving those assignment grades blank since you are not having the opportunity to do that make ups as of now.
• Please let me know any work you are choosing to complete. Mr. Uplinger has asked us to keep a tally so we have an idea of what you guys are doing. You can send me a picture of it completed if you’d like, this can be done through Remind or my email (kovalikl@hasdk12.org).
• All assignments will be on my webpage. Here are directions on how to find that if you don’t remember. Go to the HASD website. On the drop down box at the top click select HAHS. In the bar towards the top of the page click on teachers. Find my name. Click on either Geometry or Integrated 9 on the left hand side and then assignments. If you cannot find it or are having a hard time accessing anything let me know and I will get it to you another way.
• I will leave you different types of work. I know worksheets are boring but it’s the best I can do in the situation. We also have access to a program called Zoom. If you guys are interested we can set up a class conference video to help with anything you need, just let me know.
• If you haven’t seen yet, Keystone are CANCELLED for this year JJJ

Sé que este descanso puede ser difícil para algunos de ustedes, así que espero que todos lo estén manejando bien. A partir del lunes, esperamos intentar que vuelva al modo "escolar" para que esté preparado cuando finalmente regresemos. Algunas cosas que quiero mencionar primero:

• NO tomaré ningún tipo de asistencia ni calificaré nada de lo que haga (o no) complete. Este trabajo es puramente de revisión. Dicho esto, tampoco es obligatorio. Entiendo completamente que probablemente haya poca ambición para completar el trabajo que no será calificado, y lo entiendo, pero quiero que se den cuenta de que volver a la escuela después de 3 o 4 o incluso 5 semanas sin hacer nada los va a poner en un mal lugar Si completa algo con suerte, no será como comenzar desde cero.
• Sus calificaciones para el tercer trimestre son como están. He calificado todo lo que ustedes han hecho hasta este punto. Si su calificación fue inferior a 60, notará que le he dado un 60 para que tenga la oportunidad de aprobar su 4º trimestre. Sé que varios de ustedes tenían mucho trabajo que recuperar, así que dejo en blanco esas calificaciones de las tareas, ya que no tienen la oportunidad de hacer esas compensaciones a partir de ahora.
• Avísame cualquier trabajo que elijas completar. El Sr. Uplinger nos ha pedido que mantengamos una cuenta para que tengamos una idea de lo que están haciendo. Puede enviarme una foto completa si lo desea, esto se puede hacer a través de Recordatorio o mi correo electrónico ( kovalikl@hasdk12.org ).
• Todas las tareas estarán en mi página web. Aquí hay instrucciones sobre cómo encontrar eso si no lo recuerda. Vaya al sitio web de HASD. En el cuadro desplegable en la parte superior, haga clic en seleccionar HAHS. En la barra hacia la parte superior de la página, haga clic en profesores. Encuentra mi nombre. Haga clic en Geometría o Integrado 9 en el lado izquierdo y luego en las tareas. Si no puede encontrarlo o está teniendo dificultades para acceder a algo, hágamelo saber y se lo enviaré de otra manera.
• Te dejaré diferentes tipos de trabajo. Sé que las hojas de trabajo son aburridas, pero es lo mejor que puedo hacer en la situación. También tenemos acceso a un programa llamado Zoom. Si están interesados, podemos configurar un video de la conferencia de clase para ayudarlo con todo lo que necesiten, solo háganmelo saber.
