The Crafts I students are working on a project that will say a special thank you to our War Veterans. The students are making clay star ornaments. The students first rolled clay out and then cut the star shape out using a cookie cutter. After the star was removed from the cookie cutter, the students learned about applying texture to the clay. Texture was then added to the star and letters spelling "Thank you" were stamped into the clay. A hole was added to the top to create an opening for a ribbon. These stars will then be placed in the kiln, where they will be fired and hardened. Students will then paint the star, add ribbon and wrap them up for gifts to show our appreciation for all the Veterans. They will be presented to the War Veterans during the Breakfast held here at the Hazleton Area High School. Here are some pictures of the students hard work: Stars just made!!Completed Star Ornaments and Metal Key chains(Made by Crafts 3 students)! The Veteran's Day Program was a wonderful event!!!We hope all the Veterans enjoyed their giftsand had a terrific time here atthe Hazleton Area School District!!!WE THANK YOU ALL FOR SERVING AND DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY FOR ALL OF US.THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!
