• AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

    The automotive course prepares students for a career in the automotive industry. It focuses on procedures, safety, manuals/databases, tools, and equipment.  Students will also study tires, wheels, wheel balancing, suspension systems, steering systems, wheel alignment, and brake systems. 
     
    Students who advance into Level II, will  focus on automotive drivetrain, clutch, assemblies, standard transmission, automatic transmission, drive lines, differentials, engines and cooling systems. 
     
    In Level III, students gain knowledge in electrical theory, battery service, starting system, charging system, ignition system, fuel system, exhaust, emission, air conditioning, heaters, and the Pennsylvania Vehicle Safety Inspection course.
