History Room Mural
Students designed and created a unique, contemporary mural for one of our Academy history rooms. It shows a small store-front scene from downtown on the left, and the new Hayden Family Arts Center (houses the Hazleton Art League) on the right.

Ceiling Tiles
Ceiling tiles were custom-designed and completed for several rooms in the school (some still need to be installed). The library, a science room, and our own studio classroom will now be more exciting and educational for many students. Students must consult with the teacher of that room to have designs approved and to be content-specific.

Hazleton High School "Hall of Fame"
My student of 4 years, Mariluz Rodriguez, researched 60 people from history who not only had a positive impact with their talents, but also how they handled personal &/or societal struggles. The mural is located in the high school hallway near the gym, leading to the music rooms/wrestling room/pool. Fellow recent graduate (and former 4 year student) Acacia Bermudez completed several portraits in the mural, and I assisted with block prep, fontwork, and clear coat. Mariluz and Acacia are now art majors/room mates at Kutztown University with scholarships. Phase 2 will be the other side of the hallway with 13 more portraits...coming soon!
